The role of the Janitorial Supervisor is to ensure the proper operation & performance of all aspects of a comprehensive janitorial program in a manufacturing / administrative environment and ensure all hourly staff is performing job to standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Review previous shift EOS report. Note any items that carryover. Conduct daily safety moment. Assign employees routes for their shift. Flex employees to address any hot spots, absences, etc. General Housekeeping Program Emergency Response Clean Up Program Daily Client Communication and Detailed Shift Reporting Audit workspace using Go Spot Check Reporting Supplies usage to be ordered. The supervision of all cleaning staff focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behavior while on duty Reviewing work schedule Monitoring of all cleaning activities Ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities for the following Support Establishment of cleaning standards and procedures for workers and ensure adherence to these standards and procedures. Coaching and developing employees (cleaners) Scheduling and assigning specific duties/roles to cleaners and also ensuring that they are carried out expertly. Inspection of cleaning equipment on a regular basis so as to know when they are worn-out and also request for replacement. Controlling and monitoring the usage of cleaning materials so as to avoid or minimize waste and/or misuse. Providing any form of required assistance to cleaners while they carry out their duties. Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety OSHA, State, and Local Regulatory Compliance HAZMAT (Hazardous Material) Compliance Commodity Resource Management Environmental Compliance Initiatives ISO Compliance Safety Related Objectives Environmental Emergency Response Ensure 100% Employee Safety Training Compliance Perform Timely Safety Incident Reporting and Monitoring Maintain "0" Recordable and Lost Workday Case Injuries Utilize Pre-Task Planning Methods Personnel Management Coordinate Employee PTO/Vacation Scheduling and Coverage Maintain Employee Training Schedules & Records Measurable Objectives Safety Compliance KPI Compliance Client Customer Satisfaction Survey Multiple Training Programs Management of the CBA represented grievance and discipline process. Education / Experience Requirements 2-4 years Management experience required. Ability to work in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and management skills. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Corrigo, Maximo Managing UAW represented Employees |
