Salary: $28.17 - $40.87/hr We are looking to hire a detail-oriented Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, facilitate and repair Electrical systems. The electrician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing client equipment and assets. Responsible for systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. To be successful in this role, Safety, customer satisfaction, and accountability will be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent multi-tasking organizational and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities: Installing, maintaining and repairing lighting equipment, electrical distribution equipment Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing mechanical and system faults for all fore-mentioned systems. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing equipment assigned. Performing emergency repairs safely, promptly and efficiently. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. Ensuring compliance of vendors with Site specific safety rules and Occupational Health and Safety Act. - Responsible for operating Power Distribution Grid during normal, paralleling, and island mode. Controls and regulates flow of electricity through EMHC PDG lines to critical business areas, and office buildings. Monitoring operation of the EMHC PDG.Observe voltage transformers and circuit breakers. Gather and document diagnostic data from the power grid at different distribution levels.Voltage Frequency Current kW KVA THDV THDA Monitor the status of distribution circuits, connections with substations and generators. Understand complex power distribution system operation logic, and topology.React to changes in the topology of the grid due to component failures or utility events. Automatically or manually reestablish power to a power distribution grid in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. Automatically or manually operate switchboard levers to control the flow of electricity in and out of the substations. Anticipate changes in power needs caused by weather. Communicate with EMHC operators, electrical leads, and/or engineering the nature of emergency events. Operate and monitor power distribution equipment.Diesel Generators Gas Generators Medium Voltage Breakers Medium Voltage Transformers Low Voltage Breakers Low Voltage transformers Requirements: Valid Journeyman Electrician license from TDLR 3+ year experience as an Electrician, and willingness to continue education. Valid driver's license. Understanding of advanced principles of Electrical systems. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans. Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice. Ability to work in confined spaces.
