We are pleased to present the following position for your consideration:

Overview: Assessment Clinician

This position is responsible for providing biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans for children and adults seeking treatment for mental health and/or substance use in our Outpatient Open Access Department.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Make telephone, video, and face-to-face contact with clients seeking services.
  • Complete written assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within established timelines.
  • Maintain an average of 20 hours of direct client services.
  • Facilitate referral and linkage to community resources.
  • Provide engagement to clients who may need additional support to re-engage in treatment.
  • Participate in a team-based approach to providing treatment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ideal candidates will have a history of experience, education, and/or training in substance use, mental health, or the desire and commitment to gain the skills to provide biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Energetic and internally driven to assist individuals in gaining linkage to necessary services.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage individuals when they are asking for help.
  • Organized and able to develop a program plan with goals, objectives, and timeframes that are consistently met.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate electronic health record; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field, plus the ability to obtain certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) within two years, is required. Ability to function as a MHP (Mental Health Professional).
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, and the ability to obtain CADC or licensure as a LPC or LSW within two years of employment.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of automobile insurance coverage are required.

Salary Range: Bachelor's degree (MHP) - $47,840-$56,190 per year (depending on education and experience)

Master's degree (QMHP) - $60,000 - $75,000 per year (dependent on education, experience and licensure)
