NILES TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOLS D219 Professional Learning Strand Leader Job Description Position Title: Professional Learning Strand Leader (Fall, Winter, and/or Spring) Reports To: Director of Professional Learning and Staff Development Position Statement: D219 staff will lead professional learning strands during identified Weekly Late Start times. Staff will be compensated for their preparation time at their hourly curriculum rate (maximum of $63.32) for .75 x (# Facilitation Hours), plus up to 1.5 hours of approved planning and coordination per strand. 2024-2025 Hourly rates are determined according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement as follows: * BA = $55.87 * MA or 5 years = $59.59 * MA and 5 years = $63.32 TRS and THIS will be deducted and earnings reported to the Teachers Retirement System. Essential Functions: * Complete Instructor Checklist for approved learning strand Provide syllabus, agenda, and/or detailed description of PD; Include where participant resources will be located (eg: Google Drive link, website, Frontline, etc). Complete the D219 Google Form for ISBE 73-58 PD Provider Activity Summary * Utilize Frontline Professional Growth Instructor Tools to manage rosters, attendance, and communicate with participants * Facilitate 4 x 90 min professional learning sessions per learning strand * Meet with Director of Professional Learning and Staff Development before and after each learning strand term Performance Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the District evaluation procedures.
