POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Director of IT Infrastructure position reports to the Chief Information Officer and will be a central member of the Information Technology department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help empower LISC's mission by continually improving our ability to deliver the best IT solutions and services by: o Ensuring the performance and efficiency of the network systems and computer systems to serve business functions.



  • Overseeing all IT infrastructure activities, including network management, computer system administration, IT security and end user support.
  • Driving automation and efficiency improvements to streamline infrastructure management and ensuring the reliability and security of IT systems,
  • Implementing new technologies and best practices for IT infrastructure management.
  • Managing the development of technical solutions according to business requirements and client specifications.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

With the CIO, develop and implement comprehensive IT infrastructure strategies to support business goals and operations.

Oversee the activities of infrastructural functions through managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of these assigned areas:

Network



  • Oversee ongoing management of environments that includes multiple data centers, office locations, and cloud providers
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Manage network design, implementation, and maintenance, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery (DR) and backup requirements for servers and assigned system
  • Oversee the design and management of cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of cloud-based systems.


Security



  • Continuously develop and manage IT security infrastructure to mitigate security risks, including Cyber Security concerns
  • Oversee the daily technology infrastructure operations of the company to ensure secure access and availability of our technology resources
  • Ensure ongoing server operations and support


Client Services



  • Identify, investigate and solve operational problems and provide technical and business solutions to issues
  • Coordinate and manage resolution of all incidents and requests at the end user workstation level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications
  • Coordinate and manage operation and maintenance of all computer and productivity software including SaaS technology tools.
  • Continually evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of company technology the end user experience to ensure the company has the right tools and support in place


Strategy & Planning



  • With the CIO, develop tactical plans that will enable the timely and economic implementation of the various aspects of the IT strategic plan
  • Conduct infrastructure budget planning: annually review needs, make budget recommendations.
  • Research, analyze, design, propose and support the delivery of solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies
  • Maintain team talent including recruiting, orienting, and mentoring employees as teams change and grow


Project Implementation



  • Work with other teams to improve current systems and recommend new systems
  • Ensure compatibility, technical and procedural standardization amongst all systems
  • With the project management unit, guide tactical infrastructure implementation projects to ensure the completion of and the alignment with the technology strategy
  • Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure and support projects and associated efforts
  • With other teams, responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of staff training resources related to core IT infrastructure systems and services.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience maturing IT processes utilizing ITIL framework o Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing IT infrastructure challenges.
  • Possess solid understanding of the different enterprise level technologies used in a large organization
  • Excellent working knowledge of systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
  • Strong understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft infrastructure products
  • Ability to think and act proactively in accordance with the department demands.
  • Ability to trouble shoot problems and determine the best solutions
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate to varying audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing IT infrastructure team.
  • Ability to work weekly in the NYC headquarters office under a hybrid work schedule.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule in order to respond to the department's needs or emergency situations as they arise.


COMPENSATION:

LISC offers a competitive salary ($130,000 - $162,500 ; salary commensurate with experience and location)* and excellent fringe benefits.

*Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
