JOB Summary

Provide required metrology structures and alignment targets for placement onto fab photo masks, following best-practices for efficiency and effectiveness. Provide EDA tools and Linux network to Polar's technical staff.

JOB DUTIES

  • Manage, plan, and execute processes and activities involved with delivery of structures required by Polar to be placed onto fab photo masks. Such structures include:
    • Inline process monitors (IPMs)
    • Revision letters
    • Alignment targets
    • Mask CD and registrations measurement structures
  • Design, implement, and manage automated solutions for specification, layout, QA, revision control and release of mask elements
  • Work with Polar's wafer fab photolithography and metrology teams to develop expertise in requirements and best practices for design of IPMs and alignment targets
  • Manage projects for specification, implementation, review, and approval of photo mask elements for Polar's semiconductor manufacturing technologies
  • Design, execute, and manage automated solutions for preparing design data received from Polar's customers for placement into photo mask. Such data preparation includes data integrity checks, design rule checks (DRC), layer generation, work area setup
  • Manage Linux network used by Polar's technical staff, including, photo mask, design enablement, technology development, analytical services, and wafer fab engineering
  • Work with teams listed about to specify, acquire, install, and release EDA tools used by Polar

REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a Master's degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Science with 2 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of semiconductor EDA flows, tools, and practices
  • Experience working in Linux / Unix environments
  • Programming skills and experience
  • Experience working with commercially available EDA tools for IC design, such as those available from Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens, and Silvaco
  • Programming skills
  • Ability to propose and implement solutions that address broad requirements and factors
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Team focus, experience, and skills
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes
