Position Description:


Ryerson has an opportunity for a Sr. e-Commerce Business Analyst. As a Sr. e-Commerce Business Analyst, you will be responsible for helping to close the gap between metal producers' supply and end-users' demand. The ideal candidate will leverage data insights to drive business decisions, optimize online sales performance, and enhance customer experience across our e-Commerce platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the e-Commerce team (business), ERP programmers, and 3rd party web designers to prioritize and complete systems analysis efforts for the e-Commerce solution
* Gather requirements and develop functional designs for various platforms that include SAP ECC 6.0, Ryerson.com 3.0, STS, and CSW
* Identify, investigate, and/or confirm reported issues. Determine the source of the issue and coordinate its resolution
* Create testing data to be used by e-commerce and monitor daily batch jobs for errors
* Identify, investigate, and confirm reported issues. Determine the source and coordinate its resolution
* Field questions from other areas (pricing, customer price sensitivity, discount codes, etc.)
* Attend meetings related to e-Commerce (i.e. Daily Standup, UAT, Technical, etc.)
* All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice


Position Requirements:


* Bachelor's degree preferred or an Associate's degree with 7 plus years of work experience
* 5 plus years of proven software development experience in e-Commerce or a similar role
* Familiarity with all phases of the software development lifecycle
* Proficiency in SAP EC 6.0 and essential modules, including SD and MM is required
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., MS Excel, Google Analytics, SQL)
* General understanding of the order management process. Hands-on experience is a plus
* Excellent communication skills - equally comfortable discussing the strategic direction of the website with an executive and describing a technical issue to a programmer
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bridge the knowledge gap between business and I.T.
