Development Engineer - Sensor Modules

Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG, a Swiss company within the globally active Endress+Hauser Group, is a leading provider of physical, chemical, and biological sensors. For the further expansion of our high-tech company, which employs approximately 500 employees worldwide, we are currently looking for a Development Engineer Sensor Modules for our US location in Las Vegas.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Development of new module solutions around humidity, conductivity and flow measurement (gases & liquids) from the concept phase to serial production
  • Field application engineering and support for customer inquiries and specialization of sensors and module solutions
  • Technical resource for sales related inquiries, propose solutions or manufacturing methods to ensure product is fit for purpose and result
  • Monitor, collaborate and prioritize projects that are in development
  • Ensure proper documentation is created; requirements, specifications, testing methods and results
  • PCB layout and small mechanical construction prototyping
  • Execute qualification testing and calibration of sensor/module prototypes within the parameters defined by R&D and project team
  • Write readout-software for tests and development tools
  • Implement change management of software and modules throughout product lifecycle

What do we expect from you?

You:

  • Master's degree in engineering or natural sciences degree in microsystem technology, physics, material sciences, or related field; or bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years demonstrated high job performance experience
  • Solution-oriented personality with a pronounced hands-on mentality within a team-based environment, with familiarity in agile methods
  • Strong solution orientation with ability to integrate business/customer needs into products with technical realization
  • Experience in measurement technology with focus in sensor and PCB design, plus calibration and testing methods
  • Thermal mass flow, humidity and conductivity measurement principles experience is a plus
  • Knowledge in Matlab, Python, C#, C++
  • Experience with software development that runs sensors or components in a complex system
  • Knowledge in the field of mounting, integration and packaging sensors and modules into devices and applications is an advantage
  • Professional, communicative and motivated within a global collaborative and analytical environment
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States.
