JOB MISSION:
The primary function of the Sr. Material Planner will be the responsibility for managing the New Balance Material Commitment and Liability Process all while achieving strong customer service balanced with maintaining our global apparel supply plan. You will create material plans that consider global forecasts, actual customer demand and manufacturing capacity constraints. You will be responsible for providing transparency into our fabric commitments and working collaboratively to mitigate our liability risks.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Manage the Material Commitment Process, minimize material liability while achieving product launch objectives and on-time delivery to our customers.

* Develop materials plans utilizing global line plans data and BOMs to ensure accurate material pre-position against regional/market forecasts. Leverage historical data on material commitments and identify key learnings to apply to future seasons.
* Analyze and assess materials performance of products; review monthly forecasts variability to adjust materials min/max to mitigate liability risks. Help develop material forecast plans for new materials and strategize fabric ordering at the vendor level to ensure service levels are met for style launch.
* Facilitate & manage the material liability process through cross functional collaboration with our internal and external partners. Drive process improvements for owned liability.
* Proactively analyze leftover materials and report on excess liability and collaborate with business partners on opportunities for consumption. Communicate risks of excess and what the budgetary impacts will be to Finance.

* Manage priority material initiatives (i.e. Fabric Platform, QTM Min/Max, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
* 5+ years of experience in Supply chain management, Materials planning or Supply Planning
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills
* Strong Excel, PowerPoint & Business Information System data mining skills

Flexible Work Schedule
