Hackensack University Medical Center is a 781-bed teaching and research hospital and is part of Hackensack Meridian Health, which is affiliated with Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School. Hackensack University Medical Center is the largest provider of inpatient and outpatient services in the state of New Jersey. The John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center is New Jersey's largest and most comprehensive cancer program. Faculty and pharmacy staff work closely to integrate clinical functions. There are currently five faculty members at Hackensack University Medical Center in the areas of Organ Transplant, Infectious Disease and two in Pediatrics.
The Faculty member would work with the Hackensack University Medical Center clinical pharmacists and medical staff to optimize the care of patients in the Critical Care Unit. The faculty member would have an active role on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and would also be involved in the education of medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff (including pharmacy residents), in special projects, medication guideline development, etc. The Pharmacy staff will also be involved in protocol/guideline/policy development and participate in Code Blue response. Excellent communication skills are required.

Minimum Education and Experience
Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed at least two years of residency training or equivalent experience. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey.
Certifications/Licenses
Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey. Board Certification
in Pharmacotherapy any the Board of Pharmacy Specialties ( BCPS), or other relevant board certification, is expected within two years of hire.
