JLL is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to support our client in Owings Mills, MD.

Some of what you'll do:
Directs engineering operations and monitors the performance of their assigned shift. Including but not limited to the performance of all maintenance departmental service requests and work orders, ensuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience.
Works with the Chief Engineer on operational recommendations for such items as capital and operating budgets.
Provides training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations staff. Specific duties include but are not limited to demonstrating the proper use and care of tools and instruments and giving hands-on instruction in basic maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures.
Maintains current updated CMMS information for own site(s). Specific duties include but are not limited to scheduling preventative maintenance with a minimum disruption of building services, performing and/or delegating preventative maintenance tasks to the appropriately qualified maintenance staff or vendor, ordering parts and equipment required for repair, maintenance, and installation of new equipment and facilities, and maintains inventory.
Directs the performance of contracted maintenance work as needed. Specific tasks include but are not limited to ensuring the timely performance of maintenance contract work, overseeing the fulfillment of equipment warrantee obligations by the installer, and securing equipment manuals and drawings from the installers/contractors.
Responsible for short-term site, safety, and operational training, maintaining documentation of training for the site Chief Engineer.
Participates in facilities remodeling, new exhibit construction, and other planning activities of other Departments. Monitors construction and repair projects and provides feedback to the site Chief Engineer.
Provides operational recommendations to the Chief Engineer and or Operations Manager for process improvement efficiencies

Who should apply:
5+ years of building engineering in a critical environment
A Universal EPA
A grade II boilers license
Understanding of and previous experience with the method of procedure (MOP) or standard operating procedure (SOP) process follow thru and recommendation process.
Experience with CRAC UPS, PDU and generators and understanding of critical environment electrical systems are all prerequisites.
