Lead Move Technician

Personal with experience and skills related to facility and building maintenance works.

Client Services
Work with Small Projects Team and Facility Management team to understand plans and special requirements for duties.

Responsibilities
Regularly lift, move and/or carry up to 10 pounds; Frequently lift, move and/or carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift, move and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
Removes, adds and changes furniture, equipment, shelving, fixtures, etc. from work area.
Attend regular meetings with the project team to understand the scope of client work orders.
Responsible for the outcome of the moves, customer satisfaction and all move-related activities.
Ensure necessary Safety compliance at handling furniture, boxes and or other articles.
Must use tools and equipment appropriately while contributing to a safe working environment.
Review layout and assess move in & move out locations.
Work directly with client to perform event set up and post event services (return to business as usual).
Help with schedule and manage outside vendors when necessary.
Review event layout, understand the location and all necessary requirements.
Deliver boxes, Move Labels & deliver furniture as per instructions.
Need to understand drawing or blueprint for origin and destination locations.
Execute small moves and fix the furniture to client's standards.
On site escort support for vendors when necessary.
Review completed move and make adjustments with vendor or clients as necessary.
Keep up with regulatory Trainings as assigned before due dates
May need to work on weekend or holidays upon requests.
Work on and support small projects as needed.
Be an effective "change agent" by reviewing current processes, policies, and practices and initiate discussion regarding the benefit of change.
Other projects, special assignments, and administrative duties as assigned.

Skills and knowledge
The job requires skill reflecting knowledge of several technical fields that include a thorough understanding of the techniques and principles and ability to modify or adapt them as needed. Specific technical skills required include:

College preferred but not required with at least 3 years' experience in a corporate environment.
Support facilities handyman.
Furniture
Move experience.
General computer skills required.
Must have valid driver's license
Physical work requirements and work conditions
Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Bend, kneel, twist and reach to get to areas difficult to access and/or confined areas like closets, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
Inspects various damaged surfaces (e.g., plaster, drywall, water-damaged areas, ceiling and wall cracks) to report to FM
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
