About This Role:

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Pharmacist to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position will be the primary staffing pharmacist within the Veterinary Health Center Dispensary. They will be responsible to help maintain and assist in the directing of pharmacy-related services within the Veterinary Health Center.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a program accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
  • One year of relevant pharmacy experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Practical experience dispensing veterinary pharmaceuticals, clinical experience in a teaching hospital environment, and experience in preparation and dispensing chemotherapy.
  • Training in compounding: USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800.
  • Two to three years of working experience.
  • Preceptor designation with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.
  • Residency training in Veterinary Pharmacy/DICVP.
  • Previous experience/success precepting students.


Other Requirements:



  • Licensed Pharmacist with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.
