Position title: Pediatric Gastroenterology Salary range:
The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $185,000- $303,700. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. We are seeking Pediatric Gastroenterologists with a focus on Neurogastroenterology & Motility (NGM) to join our Division within UCSD and Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD). We are committed to building a neurogastrointestinal and motility disorders program for children and adolescents, advancing clinical care, and improving outcomes for children with eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. Rady Children's Hospital is the largest Children's Hospital in California and pediatric gastroenterology services are provided through the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics, University of California San Diego. Unique opportunities to attract nationally-recognized leaders include the resources and outreach of UCSD and RCHSD - the top NIH-ranked department of pediatrics in California, a top ten US News & World Report Honor Roll Children's Hospital, the top university-recognized by US News & World Report gastrointestinal and hepatology research, and leading programs in biomedical engineering, cell and developmental biology, genomics, microbiome, and metabolomics. The successful candidates will join our GI practice of 23 attending faculty and 7 advanced practice providers with 6 ACGME pediatric gastroenterology fellows. The successful candidates will contribute to the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology's mission of delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient care and performing procedures. The successful candidates will also supervise, mentor, and teach pediatric residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical and academic activities. In addition, the successful candidates will actively participate in scholarly and research endeavors, contributing to the department's academic mission. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
