The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing automated systems and processes related to the manufacturing of products, helping to increase the cost efficiency, product quality and overall Customers and Investors satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

****This is NOT a software developer role****

* Automation engineer will analyze and improve manufacturing processes, and design and create automation equipment to streamline them.

* Design and develop automations scripts and maintain and update existing scripts. (Using C, C++, Visual Basics, Arduino, PLCs, Robots Scrips, others)

* Troubleshooting existing automated systems and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.

* Quote (concept if needed) automated systems and develop FRD's (Functional Requirement Documents) in conjunction with customer expectations and document projects, including materials and costs. Select components to address all needs of the system and budget.

* Must assist management in new automation initiatives to resolve efficiency and quality challenges.

* Have custom components manufactured, select vendors to do so.

* Delegate work to open designers as needed to maximize output and reduce lead times.

* Program the control system in accordance with FRD items and utilize best programming practices.

* Runoff system to verify all FRD tasks have been addressed

* Train operations on how to use automation systems.

* Automation Project Management to warranty expected completion dates.

* Make suggestions for Equipment, Software, Training, etc... that would make the company more efficient.

* Responsible for equipment & facilities activities coordination through the Maintenance Supervisor.

* Train Entry Level employees as required.

PAY RANGE: DOE $95,000 - $107,000
