Great Hill is seeking a full-time Technical Operations Team Lead at the Defense Security Cooperation University's (DSCU) Institute for Security Governance (ISG) in Monterey, CA. ISG is the is the Department of Defense's leading implementer for Institutional Capacity Building (ICB) and one of its strategic international schoolhouses. To meet the mission of ISG, the Operations, Travel, Logistics and Technical team to executes centralized operations support and oversight to all programs. Operational and logistics support of ISG programs involves gathering, anticipating, coordinating, and fulfilling requirements that enable global engagements. The team is charged with "Behind-the scenes support" to enable the advancement of U.S. security cooperation objectives through the conduct of advising and functional engagements, mobile education teams (METs), and resident education courses.

To execute this mission, the team is charged with: Processing Country Clearance requests, preparation of force protection plans, developing Isolated Personnel Reports (ISOPREPs), preparation and coordination of pre-travel training, processing passport and visa letter requests, preparation of travel briefings, as well as web and systems enterprise development and support, to include website construction and maintenance.

The Technical Operations team lead will provide support to above program goals by ensuring completion of all taskings, development and implementation of process improvements, team prioritization of taskings and issues, as well as establishing lines of communication and collaboration with government lead.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Deliver contract deliverables, including weekly, monthly, and other customer status updates.
  • Oversee the project execution by maintaining oversight and administrative control over the contractor workforce.
  • Interacting directly with the remote team members
  • Ensure that management processes and business systems facilitate meeting performance requirements.
  • Independently identifies, manages, and mitigates project risks, resulting in proactive contingency planning as required.
  • Lead onboarding new team members. Submit access requests for onsite equipment and system accesses. Ensure adequate training on the team's business line is conducted.
  • Maintain instructional guides/ business rules for recurring tasks
  • Provides presentations to project stakeholders and management on project status, cost, and schedule updates, lessons learned etc.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in field related to business administration, communications, program management, or related discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Current Secret Security clearance or ability to attain a DoD Secret Security Clearance or interim prior to start.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of business administration or program team lead experience for the Public Sector, a University, Major Corporate Division, or Small Business. Recent experience is defined as within the last two years.
  • Recent experience in coordinating multiple projects, delegation, and communicating across stakeholders spanning the operation and briefing to Senior Leadership.
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
