Director, Global Talent Management and Development (US & Canada)

Position Summary

This role will lead design, maintain, monitor and enhance programs, policies and procedures in relation to Learning, Career Development and Succession Planning in order to identify and plan for career progression routes of employees; develop and execute appropriate learning plans for career and competency development; and to support succession planning so as to reduce operational risks within the parameters of the established Human Resource and Business Strategies. This role is responsible for success outcomes contributing to a prepared, skilled and engaged workforce.

Talent Management



  • Responsible for the research, development, design, training, implementation, communication and metrics associated with the Sirva Talent Management Programs which includes the company's performance appraisal process, succession planning and partnering with Leaders and HRBP Team to ensure growth of DEI initiatives and goals.
  • Responsible for the onboarding of new leaders to the organization for both newly promoted or newly hired leaders.
  • Collaborates with HRBP and Talent Acquisition Team to understand open roles and how they may fit internal talent growth plans
  • Responsible for the maintenance and workings of the Talent Management System in Dayforce
  • Develop, design and execute Succession Planning process, ensuring the process is a living process that is frequently updated to execute the strategic goals that come out of the annual succession planning meeting

Leadership Development Programs



  • Lead the research, development, execution, and evaluation of the Sirva Leadership Development program. Set the strategic strategy of the program and oversee Instruction Designer's delivery of leadership courses.

Employee Soft-Skill Development



  • Set framework of competencies, from framework develop and execute a strategic plan to deliver effective training growing the company's competencies within our people
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development to direct report(s) to execute deliverables

Talent Management System and Process Administration



  • Responsible for the over all maintenance and programming of the Dayforce Talent Management System
  • Responsible for the communication to leaders and employees regarding the process, expectations of the talent management process.





Qualifications and Preferred Skills/Experience



  • 5-7 years progressive Talent Management and Development Experience
  • Excellent command of the English language (spoken/written)
  • A strong communicator, both in writing and spoken communications
  • Articulate and confident standing up and delivering to large audiences
  • Progressive experience in a similar role within HR industry; excellent understanding of the technical and behavioral development needs of the organization
  • Experience of management development and soft skills training
  • Experience of designing and delivering a variety of training solutions
