Shift: Nights, 4 (10) hour shifts (2100-0730) with fair share of holidays. 4 weekend shifts or 2 full weekends every 6-week schedule period. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Manage all bed requests by utilizing teletracking including targeting units for admissions based on patient status order. Transfer and assign beds, and manage patient readiness move alerts. Create new encounters for patients moving to hospice care and infant birth encounters. Communicate with nursing units at Capital Region Medical Center and University Hospital. Manage miSecure accounts and notifications in teletracking, answer calls regarding patient movement and arrival to units, and notify the physician team of patient movement. Act as a resource for nursing units regarding teletracking. Manage patient arrival in Cerner including the review and submission of insurance eligibility. Review and initiate planned patient orders. Perform chart review for clinical status and bed placement. Communicate with the House Manager to ensure patient throughput through facilities. Participate in policy review and writing as needed. Facilitate communication during system downtime by manually completing bed requests with documentation on downtime logs, notification of clinical units of expected patient movement/bed assignments, and post-downtime system data entry. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. One (1) year of acute or urgent care nursing experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
