Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation is responsible for designing, building, and operating our unified global datacenters, managing the supply planning and capacity utilization of our unified infrastructure, and is responsible for all of the operations needed to run the physical infrastructure (including supply chain, hardware, power, security, and workflow teams). The CO+I Infrastructure, Planning and Acquisition Energy Portfolio Optimization team pulls in data across dozens of global energy markets, Microsoft's data center footprint and renewable energy portfolio to model our financial exposure to electricity markets, track progress towards our sustainability goals, and inform procurement strategy across the energy org. We are hiring an exceptional Data Engineer to focus on building efficient architecture and integrating across our many upstream data sources and downstream consumers. This role will provide the candidate a unique opportunity to join a high impact team and gain exposure to business-critical topics of energy markets and cloud infrastructure. ResponsibilitiesArchitect and Develop Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using Python and SQL to support data integration, transformation, and loading processes. Build and Maintain ADO Pipelines: Develop and manage Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines and other Azure Infrastructure (subscription, blob storage, VMs, etc.) to automate deployment and integration workflows, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of data solutions. Implement Best Software Practices: Drive and enforce best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance by implementing robust data validation, monitoring, and auditing processes. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.OtherEmbody our Culture and Values | |
