OCHSNER HEALTH is seeking a MATERNAL FETAL MEDICINE SPECIALIST to join our growing Maternal Fetal Medicine group within our multi-specialty OB/GYN Department. Our MFM group has physicians based in New Orleans and Lafayette and we are looking to add an additional MFM physician to our Lafayette-based team. Applicants should be board certified/board eligible and have expertise in clinical high-risk obstetrical care, diagnostic obstetrical ultrasonography, and invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures. Our New Orleans and Lafayette teams work jointly to provide the highest level and most advanced care to patients in the MFM practice. We have a broad referral area with a well-respected Maternal Transport service and have a strong telemedicine component to our practice. Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center is the hub of Women's Services in the Acadiana region of Louisiana. We are currently investing more than $35,000,000 in the renovation and expansion of the Obstetric inpatient area to include a 19-bed Labor and Delivery unit that will support 5,000 deliveries per year and a 47-bed NICU. With Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center (LGMC) as the flagship hospital, LGH also owns or manages Lafayette General Orthopaedic Hospital, Oil Center Surgical Plaza, St. Martin Hospital, University Hospital & Clinics (UHC), Acadia General Hospital and Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. LGH also has clinical affiliations with several other hospitals and professional medical centers across South Louisiana. LGMC operates the busiest emergency room and only Level 2 Trauma designation in Acadiana and handles the highest level of trauma in the region.
