The candidate must be an organized self-starter with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills who is eager to become a part of our dynamic team. Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining the firm's litigation docket calendar.
  • Analyzing litigation filings to determine deadlines using applicable jurisdictional rules in the firm's docketing software.
  • Ability to recognize conflicting data prior to entry.
  • Ensuring retention of source documents in the firms Document Management System as necessary.
  • Generating all routine and/or customized litigation docket reports.
  • Providing guidance to attorneys and legal staff on understanding the content of docketing reports.
  • Attending and participating in Docketing Department team virtual meetings.
  • Communicating routinely with the Litigation Docket Manager regarding any emerging issues or circumstances involving the Docketing Group.
  • Troubleshooting docketing issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Some duties may require in office presence.


Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bachelor's/Associate Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Two or more years previous docketing experience strongly preferred; 3+ years previous experience in a legal environment may be considered in lieu of docketing experience.
  • Experience with CompuLaw or other rules-based automated docketing system strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel and a Document Management System (DMS).
  • Familiarity with PACER and Electronic Court Filings (ECFs).
  • Strong knowledge of court rules and civil procedure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with a consistent high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment, but also as a flexible team member.
