Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a full-time, 11-month position as an Instructor of Nursing. The Instructor of Nursing will be responsible for teaching students in both classroom and clinical settings. This position requires a commitment to teaching in a dynamic community college setting and the ability to successfully interact and respond to the broad ranging needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus setting.General Responsibilities: *Contributes to the decision-making on policies and problem solving; *Participates in communication between all constituents/affiliates, both internal and external; *Active, unencumbered registered nursing license for the state of Arkansas; *Must be able to teach theory or clinical in either morning, evening, or weekend schedules; *Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills; *Microsoft Office proficiency; *Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently toward course objectives; and *Ability to work effectively as a team member. *Classroom management, ordering textbooks and classroom supplies Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a demonstrated commitment to student success with a student-centered approach to education, a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and effectiveness, an understanding and appreciation of an applied approach to the study of the discipline, and a willingness to follow the approved departmental curriculum established by the departmental faculty and dean.
