Senior Process Engineer

In this dynamic role, you will lead with passion and expertise, driving our Operations and Maintenance teams toward unmatched excellence in safety, quality, and productivity. Your innovative mindset will be key in spearheading continuous improvement initiatives, making a real impact on our processes and products. Responsibilities

  • Lead identification, mitigation, and elimination of safety exposures.

  • Ensure EHS compliance and improvement.

  • Establish, update, and maintain production procedures, maintenance procedures, process/product control, and test data.

  • Drive continuous improvement in areas of safety, product quality, product delivery, and product cost through the analysis of plant data and collaboration with Operations and Maintenance personnel.

  • Reduce product lead time via the implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts on the production line.

  • Facilitate problem solving (root cause analysis) with corrective action through collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and other support organizations.

  • Apply Six Sigma methodology, statistical, surface and materials characterization tools for process improvement, failure analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Collect and analyze process and production data to identify trends and ensure process stability.

  • Ensure quality through analysis of incoming raw materials, process reliability, in-process testing, and final product certification.

  • Drive resolution of customer claims and reduce repeat claims to improve the total customer experience.

  • Lead and assist in the development and sustainability of 5S

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Process Engineering in a manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field

  • Experience in statistical design and analysis of experimental data including design of experiment, hypothesis testing and Gage R&R.

  • Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, supplier, and customer to accomplish project objectives on time and within budget.

  • Experience working with statistical software such as Minitab.

  • A strong sense of accountability, urgency, and self-direction.

  • Demonstrated capital project management

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to present to multiple levels.

  • Experience leading Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts with demonstrated sustained outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated engineering aptitude

  • Prior experience mentoring and coaching others with demonstrated change management skills

  • Exhibits desire and courage to learn new skills and assume broader roles in the organization

  • Deliver on commitments: proven track record of sustainable performance

  • Proficient in:

    • Project Management and Leadership

    • Root Cause Analysis

    • Statistical Analysis and Interpretation

    • Designed Experiments a plus

    • DMAIC and PDCA Methodologies

    • Procedure Deployment and training

    • Kaizen Facilitation

    • Mechanical Design using Solidworks

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 10%

Working Conditions:

  • Day-to-day responsibilities will be both in an office environment, as well as on the manufacturing floor. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protections, and steel toes shoes must be worn as required.
