Director Athletics for Marketing and Fan Experience

The Creighton University Athletic Department is now accepting applications for the position of Director for Marketing and Fan Experience. This position will report to the Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. Creighton, located in Omaha, Nebraska, competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the BIG EAST Conference.

This Director for Marketing and Fan Experience will provide input into the vision, leadership, management, coordination, execution, and oversight of the department's marketing unit.

This position will work closely with the following units: Athletic Communications, Ticket Office, Creative Services, Broadcasting and Interactive Media, Corporate Sales and Sponsorship.

  • Responsible for creating a dynamic gameday environment for home events.
  • Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of all marketing and promotions strategies.
  • Advertising that leads to increased visibility, competitive brand positioning and revenue generation for Creighton Athletics.
  • Collaborate with other units within Athletics.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, development, communications, sales, or equivalent leadership experience required.
  • Direct experience in a Division I athletic department or professional sports organization
  • Experience in creating or overseeing the creation of marketing plans, brand strategy or ticket sales and service plans
  • Experience with budget management
