Self-Perform Assistant Estimator

Serve as an integral part of Consigli's Self Perform team.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in quantity take-offs and estimate development for concrete, demo, finishes, masonry restoration, rough framing, drywall, exterior skin, and ceilings on selected projects, while preparing cost comparisons and reconciliations with previous estimates.
  • Support buyout of subcontractors and suppliers, writing contacts and material purchase agreements for scopes of work.
  • Develop submittal packages, shop drawings, etc. for all self-perform packages awarded.
  • Perform site visits to ongoing self-perform operations, serving as a resource for field crews to understand how initial plans were generated.


Required Experience

  • Bachelors' degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field required.
  • 0 - 5 years' experience in the construction industry required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter who is highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong time management skills;. Works well as a team member;
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and create efficiencies.
