The LINEN DELIVERY WORKER to Assistant Director, Supply Chain - Linen Services. Under minimal supervision of the Linen Services Group Leader/Supervisor, assembles, inspects and counts linen. Transports both clean and soiled linen. Comprehends and demonstrates the delivery process as it relates to the Towline Operations for the Supply Chain Shared Service Center.

Education:




  • High School Diploma or equivalent



Requirements:




  • Requires active certification for motorized pallet jacks and tow motor through Hospital Safety and Environment within 6 months of hire.
  • Requires evidence of Hospital towline operations competency within 6 months of hire.
  • Requires a minimum of 9 months' experience



Additional Skills:




  • Ability to operate electrical tow motor.
  • Must be able to count and accurately complete inventory sheets.
  • Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with medical staff, patients, visitors and other hospital employees.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds overhead; pushing/pulling up to 1200 pound linen trucks, and JHH carts.
  • Work requires the ability to stand/walk up to 100% of work time.
  • Dislodging backed-up linen chutes.
  • Physical strength to move linen trucks, by hand, throughout department and hospital.
  • Physical dexterity to move in and out of linen trucks when emptying chutes.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.21 per hour - Maximum 19.97 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
