UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institution also offering selected master's degree programs. Department's Website: The Instructor's duties include, but are not limited to: * Recruitment of employer and service provided partners. * Recruitment of students. * Attend all mandated state meetings. * Attend all local advisory board meetings. * Enroll, teach, test, and track all WAGE students. * Conduct faculty & staff professional development. * Complete all required state reports in a timely fashion. * Conduct Literacy Task Analysis for all employer partners. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities are as follows: * Knowledge of teaching techniques and practice for adults in the areas of reading, mathematics, and language arts. * Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed. * Knowledge of pre-vocational subject area(s) to be taught. * Ability to develop individual education plans. * Evidence of good communication and social skills. * Ability to teach life skills and document student information. * Ability to coordinate and oversee student instruction/activities. * ability to document student information. * Individual must have excellent organizational skills. * The candidate should be comfortable with technology and possess the ability to teach face-to-face and virtually * Other duties as assigned by the director. Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor's degree and current Arkansas Teaching License.
