Under the general supervision of the Director of Grants and Community Engagement, the Workforce Development Coordinator plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes, and facilitates trainings, meetings, conferences, and events for the mental health and behavioral health industry. The Workforce Development Coordinator works directly with and cultivates relationships with mental health and behavioral health organizations and stakeholders throughout Wayne County to develop and execute approximately 60-100 events per year. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA'S)
REQUIRED EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in the Human Services, Social Services, Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Health Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Social Work, Public Relations, Sociology, or a related field. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of professional experience conducting trainings, seminars, organizing conferences, or coordinating meetings and events. REQUIRED LICENSE(S). A valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is usually performed in an office setting but requires the employee to drive to different sites throughout Wayne County and the State of Michigan. This position can work remotely with supervisory approval. Currently this position is a hybrid position.
