UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for an Emergency Medicine Staff Physician to join our School of Medicine team at UNM. This opportunity is a on-call PRN day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Summary Under indirect supervision, provides and manages direct health care for a specified patient population. Minimum Job Requirements of an Emergency Medicine Staff Physician: Medical doctor with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty. State of New Mexico and Federal DEA Certification; Medical Specialty License or Certification; Board Certified or Board Eligible in specified area of medical specialty. About the Emergency Medicine Team with UNM School of Medicine: The University of New Mexico, Department of Emergency Medicine, is seeking on-call physicians. In addition to supporting our EM residency program the on-call physicians will provide clinical care in both our academic and community hospital facilities. The Department of Emergency Medicine has 72 full-time and part-time attending physicians, and is home to an outstanding EM Residency, EMS Academy and Center for Disaster Medicine. UNM Health System is New Mexico's only Level I Trauma Center, UNM Children's Hospital, home to the only Burn Center, and the state's first Comprehensive Stroke Center. UNM Health System providers specialize in over 150 areas and receive 900,000 outpatient visits, 22,000 surgical cases and 100,000 emergency room visits each year.
