POSITION SUMMARY: As Materials Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing assigned commodities to ensure 100% availability to meet scheduled production for the factory. The primary areas of focus in this position will be inventory monitoring, ordering and expediting, freight, building internal/ external relationships and daily/ weekly/ monthly reports.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Analyze the demand for both raw material and packing by reviewing MRP requirements and delivery of those supplies as needed.

* Manage the inventory to appropriate levels, maximizing customer service and minimizing distress for both long and short term plans.

* Coordinate Transportation needs for delivery of raw materials and/or finished goods.

* Monitor daily receipts of materials, verify quality condition, amount of receipt, and timely delivery.

* Monitor inventory days of supply.

* Responsible for maintaining Integrated Supply Goals.

* Backup all Material Coordinators, as needed. * Manage vendor performance and incident program for raw materials and packing supplies.

* Mange inter-plant shipment of raw materials and packaging supplies to maintain accurate costeffective inventories and optimize transportation costs.

* Communicate all potential supply/ingredient impacts to production and planning.

* Assist in and initiate cost improvement programs, alternative materials, and innovative ideas.

* Reconcile purchase order discrepancies, good receipts & invoice receipts

* Responsible for compliance with the safety policy and the accident prevention and compliance programs. Responsible for reviewing immediate work areas for potential losses, loss control opportunities, and for reporting hazards, injuries, illnesses, SMIs, and other losses to management.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and/or related courses of study preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

* Prior Manufacturing experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Ability to demonstrate ways to maintain a cost-effective approach to inventory control with a focus on customer service. Must be able to communicate effectively, establish good working relationships, and analyze and interpret data.

* MRP Systems, AS/400, SAP, PINK

* Microsoft environment knowledge: Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
