Accounting Premium & Reporting Specialist

Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) is currently seeking an Accounting & Premium Reporting Specialist to join its Accounting Team at its company headquarters inBrookfield, WI. Under the guidance of an Accounting Department Supervisor or Manager, this position performs accounting functions for the accurate and timely processing of captive and non-captive accounts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather, compile, and evaluate data from multiple sources and various systems to prepare comprehensive monthly or quarterly statements for our accounts, and submit to leadership for approval and appropriate processing.
• Prepare and make entries into a general ledger system for review and approval by management. Monthly reconciliation of the previous month's outstanding balances.
• Execute data entry for premiums and losses within an AS/400 platform, which is in the beginning phase of migrating to an updated system.
• Research and reconcile unsolved open items by policy.
• Collaborate across various departments throughout the company.
• Interact with external contacts, including brokers, insureds, and third-party administrators.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires an Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, or an equivalent combination of related experience.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: This position requires one to sit for extended periods of time and stand and/or walk occasionally. The position requires one to occasionally push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 10 pound. No personal protective equipment is required. Ergonomic equipment is available to employees.
