Position Purpose:
|
Under the direction of the department leader, the Project Manager plans, leads, organizes, and controls small to midsize projects. The project team normally consists of 4-10 staff members. The incumbent develops and ensures appropriate internal and external customer communication and support and provides guidance to project team members.

Nature and Scope:
|
With minor leader provided direction, the incumbent provides project management within a department or entity. These projects will have limited scope or impact involving 2-3 departments or entities. Project teams normally consist of between 4 to 10 individuals. The successful incumbent will:
- Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects with high quality results and adherence to deadlines
- Ensure that projects are implemented with the quality the customer expects, that they are within budget and that they meet the timelines that were projected to support clinical and business functions of Renown Health
- Serve as a quality review point for projects to ensure that all project steps have been completed and documented using standard project management tools and methodologies
- Act as the primary point of contact between a project team, Business System Owner, Customer Liaisons, and the assigned leader
- Work directly with customers to evaluate needs and determine methods for accomplishing corporate goals through efficient use of resources, other project team members, and their individual skills
- Work directly with customers to initiate, plan, execute and control projects to accomplish project objectives
- Coordinate resources with other teams in order to facilitate work and project completion
- Coordinate testing efforts
- Facilitate responses to support issues to successful resolution
- Have a solid understanding of integration concepts, information protection requirements and strategies
- Be able to perform a high level analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with software/hardware being implemented
- Perform independent contract review from a business requirement perspective, business case preparation, scope documentation, team presentations, and project portfolio management
- Have a working level knowledge of internal project management tools such as Workfront and other project management templates.
- Under general direction provide guidance and support in problem solving and general staff development for their project team members and function as an informal leader
- Generally work independently and consistently demonstrates the ability to lead project team members
- Provide input to the assigned leader regarding team member performance relative to assigned projects and the project process
- Demonstrate strong communication skills necessary to achieve project goals, communicate risks and alternatives to mitigate risks

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
|
Education:
|
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare, or related field required. Experience in related fields may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience:
|
Requires 3 years business experience including a minimum of two years experience in the assigned functional area (i.e. Information Technology, finance, patient service).

Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. Additional license(s)/Certificates(s) may be preferred to support a specific department/entity.

Computer / Typing:
|
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
