People and Culture Department

The People and Culture (P&C) team is responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment through retirement, collaborating closely with various departments such as New Site Development, Construction, Operations, Sales, Finance, Tech & Systems, and Legal to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment. Our P&C team is distinguished by its proactive and strategic approach. Unlike in many organizations where P&C functions are limited to administrative oversight, our P&C professionals are empowered with the authority and responsibility to drive critical processes directly. This includes talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organizational planning. By leveraging in-house expertise, our P&C team can align long-term organizational sustainability with innovative P&C practices and cost-effective strategies. This alignment ensures that our workforce is engaged, motivated, and equipped to contribute to the company's success. Each member of our P&C team plays a pivotal role in making high-impact decisions, resulting in a more dynamic and productive work environment.

Position Overview

This role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Quincy, WA; Santa Clara, CA; Ashburn, VA or open to Remote, US.

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Manager, Employee Onboarding to lead the onboarding function for North America. This role will oversee a small team focused on delivering a consistent, engaging, and impactful onboarding experience that supports employee integration, retention, and success. As part of the Learning & Development team, this role will collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure onboarding programs reflect our culture, values, and business priorities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead and manage the North America onboarding team, providing coaching, development, and performance support.
  • Design and execute onboarding programs that support employees from pre-hire through their first 90 days and beyond.
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions and learning experiences, both virtually and in-person, to ensure high engagement and alignment with company culture.
  • Develop and curate onboarding content, including digital learning modules, presentations, and communications using platforms such as Docebo and OpenSesame.
  • Partner with Global L&D, P&C, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to ensure onboarding processes are seamless, scalable, and inclusive.
  • Leverage systems and tools (e.g., Workday, LMS) to track onboarding participation, engagement, and success metrics.
  • Collaborate with IT and P&C teams to manage onboarding logistics, including shipping, access provisioning, and preboarding data accuracy.
  • Maintain attention to detail in managing participant records, scheduling, and communications.
  • Continuously assess and improve onboarding experiences using feedback, data, and best practices.
  • Support broader L&D initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and employee engagement.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or HR, with a focus on onboarding or employee experience.
  • 2+ years of people management experience preferred.
  • Experience in content development and facilitation for onboarding or training programs.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Docebo), digital content tools (e.g., OpenSesame), and virtual collaboration technologies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and change management best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience designing onboarding programs for distributed or hybrid workforces preferred.
  • Assessment certifications (StrengthsFinder, Enneagram, Insights, DISC, etc.) preferred.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
