Construction Superintendent
Job Summary
Oversees construction projects, from implementation to completion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conducts interviews and hires crew for construction projects
- Overseas construction projects from start to finish, including planning and selecting the tools necessary to complete the project.
- Possesses up-to-date knowledge of OSHA standards
- Routinely works with spreadsheets and related software to keep track of progress
- Communicates effectively with all levels of workers, including architects and engineers
- Provides helpful feedback to contractors and subcontractors
- Sets feasible project deadlines
- Orders building materials, as needed
- Handles job-site emergencies and resolves conflicts
