Job Summary
Oversees and manages a fleet of vehicles.
Primary Responsibilities
- Interviews and hires drivers
- Addresses negative or inappropriate driving behavior
- Ensures all vehicles are safe and in compliance with federal and state laws/regulations
- Sets driver schedules
- Oversees vehicle usage
- Negotiates with manufacturers to lower costs
- Manages fuel programs to lower fuel costs
- Keeps track of drivers’ fuel consumption, routing, and idling and develops management reports
