Hotel Front Desk Representative

Job Summary

Responsible for greeting and checking in guests as they arrive at the hotel. Confirm reservations, assign rooms, issue room keys, and answer phone calls.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Check guests in and out of the hotel; verify their reservations and collect payments.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and make restaurant and transportation reservations for guests.
  • Provide information about the hotel, its amenities, its rates, and the surrounding area. 
  • Resolve customer issues directly or by escalating them to a manager or other staff member.
  • Handle all online and phone reservation requests by recording the necessary information.
  • Work with housekeepers to ensure clean and furnished rooms that accommodate guest needs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby and front desk area by dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
