Ramp Agent
Job Summary
Loads and unloads cargo from an aircraft, as well as other related tasks such as guiding an aircraft to and from its gates, and communicating with the flight crew.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently loads and unloads airplane cargo
- Helps set up a ramp and consistently ensures it’s safe to use
- Reports malfunctions to management
- Maintains a record of all goods stored on and shipped with an airline
- Adds luggage to the baggage claim area
- Communicates with the flight crew, as needed
- Cleans the interior and exterior of the airplane, such as wiping down the windows
- Guides airplanes to and from their gates
