Shift Leader

Job Summary

Responsible for supervising employees and the daily operations of a store or restaurant. Oversee shift scheduling, manage worker productivity levels when the general manager is absent, and handle customer complaints. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assign duties and make sure all employees perform them in a satisfactory manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service so visitors are satisfied with their experience. 
  • Check equipment and ensure that all safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Monitor the accuracy of all financial transactions, manage cash, and prepare bank deposits.
  • Give workers feedback during their shifts and cover last-minute employee absences.
  • Train new employees, record time-off requests, and resolve any conflicts between workers.
  • Foster a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment.
