Location: Charlotte, NC - Onsite What you will do: The Controls Technician III will provide technician support for Building Automation Systems (BAS), service contracts, system upgrades, and controls related service requests.
- Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming.
- Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
- Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
- Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications.
- Provide training and follow-ups for Customers and operations personnel.
- Complete work orders and review with customers for accuracy.
- Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years related experience.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 50lbs with or without an accommodation.
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Current first aid / CPR card.
- Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools.
- Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals.
- Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls.
- Ability to understand written sequences of operation.
- Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams.
- Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification.
- Experience with any common integration protocols such as: BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP / RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL.
- Strong computer skills, including computer networking fundamentals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Motivated self-starter that demonstrates initiative.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $34.40 - $53.70 in NC. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
