This includes leading project teams, managing client expectations, ensuring quality control, and overseeing budget and schedule performance. The role involves working closely with public and private sector clients to deliver functional and innovative transportation solutions in compliance with state and federal standards.

Responsibilities

    Responsible for the overall success of the project, interfacing with the Client as the representative of the firm on a project and upholding the firm's mission by balancing inventive and relevant project solutions
  • Acts as the key connection between the firm and the client
  • Meets, manages, and successfully communicates between the Client and the Project Team during the duration of the contract
  • Understands, develops, and maintains the project scope, schedule, fee structure, and budget targets to ensure a successful outcome
  • Responsible for efficient use of firm resources by controlling project costs and staff and balancing utilization and profitability
  • Leads the Project Team to meet or exceed the identified profitability targets
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client meetings, and presentation

  • Conduct site visits, public meetings, and project reviews with stakeholders as needed



Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas (or eligible to get in Texas through reciprocity)
  • 7+ years of transportation design experience
  • Proficiency of roadway design software such as Microstation, Geopak or OpenRoads
  • Previous experience working with TxDOT
  • Working knowledge of local municipal requirements and permitting processes

  • Prior experience in a consulting or multi-disciplinary firm
