HVAC Technician-JLL

What this job involves:

Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs and maintenance Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration and be multi skilled in electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing and others in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all facility mechanical systems and equipment through work orders

Maintain and operate HVAC/R systems including air handlers, chillers, pumps, boilers, and building management systems

Monitor and adjust building systems including refrigeration, electrical, backup systems, and hot water - making necessary corrections to ensure proper operation

Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions that impact client operations and occupancy

Install and repair mechanical/electrical components such as plumbing, motors, pumps, air compressors, and controls

Document all work and costs on work orders, maintain system documentation, and analyze data to recommend maintenance improvements

Ensure safety compliance with hazardous materials handling and support additional tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid state driver's license and U.S. citizenship are required, along with the ability to obtain company-sponsored security clearance.
  • Type III Universal EPA 608 Certification is mandatory for this position.
  • A minimum of four years of technical building engineering experience is needed, with strong expertise in packaged HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 80 pounds and climb ladders up to 30 feet safely.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MEP/HVAC system design, OSHA standards, and local building codes is essential for success in this role.
  • Experience with work order management and CMMS technology is required, along with a background in commercial facilities service work.
  • Strong communication skills, computer proficiency, teamwork abilities, and flexibility for on-call duties and overtime are critical for this position.

On-site -Huntsville, Alabama

Work Shift:

8 hour shift chosen between the hours of 6am-4:30pm

Salary/ Comp:

$58,240 - $71,500 ($28- $34.37)
