Description Responsibilities Design and develop new packaging as well as revise existing packaging, focusing on cost reduction and performance enhancements. Produce samples and small production runs of prototypes using the CAD table for testing purposes, including writing and transmitting specifications as needed. Enhance existing packaging with innovative solutions, which will involve conducting customer site visits and performing packaging audits at their locations. Coordinate with tooling suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency. Travel with sales representatives to customer locations when necessary. Build strong internal relationships to support and ensure efficient and accurate responses to customers, sales, and operations departments. Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Packaging, Mechanical Design, Architectural Design, or Prototype & Design, and experience in a CAD-related field. Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills, with the ability to work closely with internal and external customers In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications, CAD, Artios CAD, Cape Pack, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or TOPPS, as well as familiarity with CAD tables. Familiarity with various paperboard stocks, board grade combinations, corrugation, and printing processes. Experience operating sample cutting tables. Strong cognitive and mathematical skills Demonstrated ability to visualize concepts in 3D Detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
