The Sr. Manager, Consolidations and Reporting System Administrator is a critical team member reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller within the Company's Controllership department. New Era utilizes SAP BPC 10.1 ("system") to consolidate global financial information for internal and external financial reporting. The role oversees the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant consolidation of results in accordance with applicable reporting standards. This role is also responsible for ensuring the system's operational stability and performance to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of the Company's financial information.

The Controllership department is responsible for managing global consolidation and reporting of monthly/quarterly/annual financial information to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage month-end and year-end close activities, including reviewing consolidated enterprise financial statements, reconciling intercompany balances, and ensuring all required adjustments are recorded before reporting deadlines
  • Provide critical system administration, user support and troubleshooting, especially during the close process
  • Implement and maintain the system's security policies and procedures
  • Manage third-party technical support partner
  • Collaboration with the Company's Information Technology department
  • Maintain ownership hierarchy to ensure proper eliminations
  • Maintain and update, as needed, reporting hierarchies to support reporting requirements
  • Provide training to user group
  • Assess, identify and implement necessary enhancements to improve the functionality, stability and reliability of the system
  • Evaluation of current state and identify areas for process and systematic improvements to reduce close timeline, avoid delays and/or reduce risk of error/rework
  • Develop standardized reporting for key stakeholders
  • Implement and strengthen internal controls over the system and consolidation process
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Proficient in SAP BPC 10.1 including its functionalities, configuration and administration
  • Familiar with SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP HANA database
  • Understanding of financial consolidation processes and procedures
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy & timeliness
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and embraces work with a sense of urgency

Education and Experience

  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of professional experience in financial system administration
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field required; Master's Degree in relevant field preferred
  • Experience with SAP BPC 10.1 (required) and SAP ECC 6.0 (preferred)

  • The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY

The salary range for this posted position is $120,000 - $150,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
