Creighton University's School of Medicine is seeking to hire a Program Manager to manage and oversee administration programs for the School of Medicine in Clinical Research. Programs are scientific, research, educational, or service oriented. This position will work from CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy located at 72nd and Mercy Rd. Hours are full-time Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Clinical Research: Assist students, residents, fellows, faculty and non-faculty in developing Investigator initiated research projects, especially by providing guidance on the research approval process. Facilitate researchers/faculty in getting access to bio statistical analysis/data collection. Prepare and submit Investigator initiated protocols and study related materials to Institutional Review Board (IRB). Maintain paper and electronic study documents, manage files, and provide written communication to faculty and learner investigators to facilitate research. Assist with collaboration among researchers within the institution and to community-based research initiatives.
- Grant Writing and Funding: Proofread/edit/and provide grant writing assistance including multidisciplinary proposals. Edit draft grant proposals to create highly competitive submissions and review proposal feedback for potential resubmission opportunities and/or submission to other grant agencies. Connect scientists to resources; routinely search databases for funding opportunities especially on a governmental level. Track and coordinate participation in ongoing funding opportunities. Assist various department staff in writing periodic reports to comply with grant requirements.
- Compliance: Coordinate annual renewal applications, and protocol amendments, and prepare expedited IRB notification of protocol violations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required, Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2 + years of experience; Grant and IRB submission background and understanding of the different types of research preferred
- Ability to translate complex scientific information into practical communications.
- Ability to provide guidance and instruction to residency coordinators and program directors and must foster a spirit of cooperation to achieve the goals.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including written and verbal, problem solving, diplomatically handling problems of a sensitive and/or confidential nature.
