What this job involves: As a Maintenance Mechanic you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of material handling equipment through battery system maintenance and general facility upkeep. This role is essential to maintaining seamless warehouse and operational workflows by keeping critical equipment powered and functioning optimally.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment batteries to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Operate battery changing equipment to maintain continuous power supply for warehouse operations
• Perform general maintenance duties as assigned to support overall facility operations
• Document inspection findings and maintenance activities
• Collaborate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime
• Provide coverage for other shifts when needed to ensure 24/7 operational support
• Follow all safety protocols and maintenance procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with material handling equipment or battery systems
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and provide shift coverage as needed
• Strong attention to detail for inspection and maintenance tasks
• Physical ability to handle battery equipment and perform maintenance duties
• Familiarity with warehouse or industrial environments
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Work Schedule:

• Primary hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Flexibility required to float to other shifts when coverage is needed
• Shift differential compensation applies when working outside normal business hours

Salary/Comp: $25.00 - $26.00/hour
