As a Benefits Specialist, you will assist the Benefits Business Partner with the day-to-day coordination, administration and compliance of employee benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, COBRA, flexible spending, life insurance, retirement plans, absence management (FMLA/OFLA), wellness, etc.). Primary Duties:
Manage leave of absence program, including FMLA & ADA administration, in coordination with the HR Business Partners. Administer and coordinate daily benefit processing within the Workday HRIS system. Primary point of contact for employee benefit and leave inquiries Support employees during new hire and open enrollment. Answering any questions employees have about their benefits. Communicating with insurance and savings providers to resolve issues. Keeping up-to-date records of each employee's benefits profile. Facilitate resolution of employee benefit issues and questions. Reconciles benefit accounts by approving and processing invoices. Manage leave of absence program, including FMLA administration with HR team. Maintain electronic benefit carrier feeds and liaise with carriers and HRIS to resolve any enrollment discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Accounting or other business discipline along with at least 2 years of experience in HR and/or benefits administration. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting or other discipline is preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills with experience in Microsoft Excel using intermediate to advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and conditional formatting. Knowledge of group benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Experience with using a HRIS System. Workday benefits experience preferred Must have ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines. Must possess interpersonal and organizational skills, be a self-starter, be detail oriented, and have the ability to communicate and explain technical information to employees in a way that is easier to understand. Maintains confidentiality of all employee benefits data. Excellent customer service skills.
Physical Demands:
Ability to use PC, 10-key calculator, telephone, and communicate with all level of individuals throughout the company. Mostly sitting, some standing, walking, stooping, and bending on occasion. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
