As the Commodities Manager at Crescent Electric, you will partner with our Preferred Supplier Partners, the Crescent Electric sales team, and our customers to develop and secure large commodity product business at the highestmargins possible.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and Account Managers throughout the Super District to quote, secure, and manage large commodity orders

  • Work closely with customers throughout the Super District in multiple states to build relationships focused on commodity business

  • Partner with Preferred Suppliers on commodity order opportunities

  • Extensive commodity product knowledge and ability to train Counter Sales and Inside Sales employees on these items

  • Work closely with the Pricing Team to maximize profitability and minimize overrides on commodity products

  • Partner with the Commodity Category Manager on large commodity quotations and orders

  • Collaborate with Project Specialists to ensure secured commodity orders are entered correctly in Job Management

SKILLS:

  • Professional business partner with a proven track record of generating over $20 million in additional top-line revenue.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Valid Driver's License with out-of-state overnight travel approximately 10-20% of the time.
