Facilities Director - Financial Services Portfolio

Lead a dynamic facilities organization across the United States in this high-impact Facilities Director role supporting a premier financial services client. This strategic position offers the opportunity to oversee an impressive portfolio of 250+ office locations totaling over 11.5 million square feet across multiple markets. As Facilities Director, you'll drive operational excellence while leading a team of three Senior Facilities Managers, serving as the primary facilities expert and client advocate who develops continuous improvement initiatives and thrives in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive portfolio management ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, strategic oversight of all business lines and third-party vendor relationships, and development of your facilities management team. This exceptional opportunity allows an experienced facilities leader to make a significant impact within a large-scale, complex portfolio while advancing their career with a leading global real estate services firm. The role offers flexibility to be based near any of our client's major hubs in the Western or Mid-regions, providing both professional growth and geographic options.

Here is some of what you'll do:

  • Manage the performance and outcomes of assigned staff reporting to the position

  • Maintain interface with client, and third -party owners (Landlords), ensuring adherence to risk and compliance, accurate and timely reporting, and resolve critical impact tenant relations issues

  • Provide overall facility services in accordance with accounts' standard processes and procedures including application of policies and programs, coordination of information

  • Ensure compliance with portfolio wide initiatives and required local, state, and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operating of facilities entrusted to the Facility Partners to manage on behalf of the client as owner

  • Manage, coordinate, and exercise functional responsibility for Facility Management services within assigned facilities and geography

  • Prepare, submit and manage facility budgets with the clients' goals and objectives addressed, track variances and ensure smooth recovery process

  • Support and deliver efficient process management and continuously improve work and initiative planning, scheduling, and execution.

  • Responsible for overall team management, staff development and planning. Execute staff succession and growth plans.

  • Involved in compensation planning process

  • For every direct report, build actionable and measurable career development plans; direct report in consistent conversations regarding progress

  • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Here is who we are looking for:

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in multi-site office facilities management

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and relationship building skills with proven ability to deliver excellent internal and external customer service through a solution-minded problem solving approach

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills combined with knowledge of standard business and accounting practices

  • Proficiency in Excel with strong data analysis capabilities and experience managing office properties

  • Demonstrated ability to pivot and adapt in dynamic environments while effectively managing risks and maintaining operational excellence

Preferred

  • A bachelors degree or higher

Pay $150,000-170,000 with a 25% targeted bonus of the annual salary

Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift with on-call 24/7 for emergency responses

On-site at one of our client's local hubs - Midwest or California

Estimated compensation for this position:

150,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
