ISSO SME Rosslyn, VA Pay From: $155,000 Per Year MUST ISSO SME TS/SCI active DOD DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III certification Twelve (12) years of experience as an ISSO or senior cybersecurity compliance professional Deep understanding of RMF (NIST SP 800-37), NIST 800-53 controls, and ATO processes and documentation. Hands-on experience with compliance automation and vulnerability management platforms Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid architecture Previous experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) and the unique security requirements is a major plus Proven ability to advise executives and influence cross-functional stakeholders Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing high-level security reports Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) DUTIES The Systems Security Officer SME will be responsible for ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, managing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, and maintaining the security posture of systems throughout their lifecycle. This role requires deep expertise in information assurance, risk management frameworks, and system authorization processes. Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security controls in accordance with DoD RMF and NIST SP 800-53 Create system accreditation packages, preparing and maintaining security documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, CONOPS) Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and security audits to identify gaps and recommend mitigations Coordinate with the internal engineering teams and OEMs to ensure security controls are implemented correctly and effectively Brief executive leadership on risk posture, emerging threats, and recommended mitigation strategies Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
