What this job involves

The Operations Manager serves as a business partner to the South Florida local markets business in JLL's corporate office. The position partners closely with the Regional Operations Lead, providing direct oversight of market operations and support teams, with a primary focus on Brokerage operations, office management, and client service excellence. This role will manage day-to-day operational processes for South Florida, coordinate support resources, drive technology adoption, and ensure alignment with firm policies and strategic goals. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Southeast Region Operations Lead.

Responsibilities include:

Operations Oversight

  • Manage the full spectrum of day-to-day South Florida office operations and serve as the main point of contact ("POC") for brokers, employees, and support staff.
  • Oversee and assign work to assistants, Sales Coordinators, and other operational support roles; ensure adequate coverage, effective onboarding, and optimal team structure.
  • Lead the implementation, improvement, and documentation of local business processes in alignment with JLL standards.
  • Interface regularly with Facilities Management, overseeing office upkeep, security badges, vendor relationships, and coordination of services.
  • Drive technology adoption in the office; act as point of contact for troubleshooting, process enhancements, and ongoing usage tracking.
  • Ensure all real estate licensing, training, and compliance requirements are met for the South Florida market.

Financial Administration

  • Approve expense reports, monitor adherence to T&E policies, and ensure producer spend aligns with business targets.
  • Analyze T&E spend, support initial budget and business case preparation, and provide recommendations for process and cost improvement.
  • Partner with Operations Lead and Finance on budget development, monthly market reviews, forecasting, WIP, and financial performance analysis.
  • Assist with invoice and expense processing as needed.

Talent, Onboarding, and Culture

  • Coordinate onboarding for all new hires, ensuring access to systems, training schedules, and all necessary resources for smooth integration.
  • Participate in performance reviews, team workload management, and recommendations for support team structure optimization.
  • Track and coordinate documentation for award nominations, broker separations, and talent-related matters.
  • Lead and oversee the execution of office culture initiatives, local philanthropy/volunteer events, and internal/client-facing engagements; serve as liaison for local BRGs.

Business Line, Meeting, & Market Support

  • Plan, prepare content for, and execute regular business line/producer meetings, market updates, and communications.
  • Track and manage inbound business assignments and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Maintain close coordination with marketing, research, and sales enablement to deliver top-tier service and client deliverables.
  • Coordinate, analyze, and report market/operational data for decision-making.
  • Ensure adoption of best practices, policy compliance, and optimal process documentation across the market.

Required

  • 5+ years prior management experience and prior business operations experience - in commercial real estate industry a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with collaborative management style
  • Critical thinker with high emotional intelligence and strong conflict management ability
  • Strong business acumen to understand/provide context for decisions; able to influence and challenge decisions as appropriate
  • Proven experience developing high performance teams; high employee engagement and effective delegator
  • Excellent project management ability; solution oriented, organized, and resourceful
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related / equivalent
